Introducing… ChaosElsie!

Hello! Most of you are familiar with Asaragi Shije, the mastermind behind Asaragi Works! But there is actually another member. Well, it wasn’t absolutely official until about a month ago. But he (Shije) and I have collaborated on various projects for a couple years now. So I’m going to use this post to explain the two of us and the projects we do. First of all, you can call me Chaos, or baka, or “Hey, you!” I don’t really care. I’m a writer, a storyteller, musician, and composer. Asaragi here is in charge of Asaragi Works and is also my editor; though this term is purely out of respect for all he’s done for me as a friend and fellow writer. He and I attended the same school and have remained friends ever since. He also collaborated on an original project of mine known as Windcrest (which has no relation to the Texan city of the same name. Seriously, I had no idea about it when I named it. :V): story series, game, and more. I’ll make up a post some other time to briefly explain it. I’m actually working on getting a publishable version of that story done to be posted with his help, which will be put online, possibly here, when it is done.

Also, the program I’m using to make the Windcrest game is RPGMaker VX Ace. I’ve been using the RPGMaker series since VX and am always pleased by its ease of use. I’m still looking for artists but, hey, that’s a long time down the line.

But anyway, yeah. This is Chaos/Camblaxe/SelenicNarrator or whatever the heck I’m calling myself nowadays! Expect to see more from me, as I take on the mantle of co-author of Asaragi Works’ blog here.

The Gensokyo Detective Squad! + new theme

So I finally managed to finish the first chapter of my new story, The Gensokyo Detective Squad.
Seems kinda sad my blog is hearing about this just now, when normally you’d think it’d be the first to know!
Oh well.

In this story, we follow Reisen as she leaves Eientei in hopes of finally becoming a full-fledged PC, just like Sakuya and Youmu!
She’ll meet some unlikely friends, and they’ll work together to solve not incidents, but mysteries.
Because that’s just what they do.
They’re the Gensokyo Detective Squad!

Read it on FF.net and MotK now!

Also Shizuku-chan’s translation is yet again stalled, but due to the fact I’m actually freaking working on the more important stuff for once!

Like, for example, KnT.
Yes, at long long long last I am finally doing work with KnT again.
Ah, it feels good after all these years.
Perhaps I’ll finally be able to get the rewrite started…
Ohhhhh that would be so nice.

Oh yeah and I changed the theme. Cool huh? Yeah, I even made a fancy banner and everything!

Disclaimer: No I didn’t draw little Mayuka-chan up there. She was created by 沢渡 仁司.

Second disclaimer: CLEANING PIXELS IS TIME-CONSUMING, TEDIOUS, AND BORING.

Scarlet Training on MotK + Shizuku progress

I posted (a better)  version of Scarlet Training on MotK.
Go read it now.
No NSFW content in this version.
And as far as I’m concerned, this will be the final version, and where the final version will be located.
However, the raw NSFW version may still be posted on FF.net. I’m undecided on that.

Also Shizuku-chan’s translation is finally resumed, and is progressing smoothly. Here’s proof.
Some bad timing on the sixth screenshot. The sentence does finish, I just fail that badly at screencapping.
I’ve only TL’d just a little bit of dialouge and comm, not much.
First and foremost I wanted to work on the menus.
Yes I know the menus aren’t complete yet, shut up. >_>;
If anyone wants to help with this or knows anything about Ukagaka and can offer any insight or assistance it would definitely be appreciated. Oh yeah. And I have over 2,000 points with Shizuku-chan now! ❤
Oh yeah! And in other news, I finally 1cc’d PCB Easy! Wooo!!

An announcement?! NOWAYTHATSIMPOSSIBLE!:O

So someone said to me, “Hey, why do you have a blog and a group name if you don’t do anything? That’s completely pointless! You should either contribute something or just gtfo the internet, asshole.”

What a mean person huh?
Well, to tell the truth, nobody actually said that to me.
But I did think it!

So,  this week I learned about a desktop app called Ukagaka. Now you’ve probably seen programs that put characters (interactive or otherwise) on your desktop before.
Ukagaka is easily the smartest and most in-depth engine for this purpose that I’ve seen.
However its very niche and undoubtably only the most Otaku or weeaboo users would use this.
But, that definitely doesn’t exclude me.
I reccomend reading up on it (you can find some if not most info at the wiki page) because I’m going to start using some terms you may not quite understand if you don’t and/or aren’t already familiar with Ukagaka.

My favorite Ghost has got to be Shizuku (シズクと冷しゃぶ). The relationship she has with HiyaShabu (the sword-like dude next to her) reminds me a lot of Nijihara Ink and Gir in Moetan. HiyaShabu is just so pervy, it’s almost enough that he makes up for when you aren’t. I’d love some backstory about these two, but I can’t really say I’m expecting to get any.

Anyway, no, I didn’t make this post just to blab about how cute Shizuku may be, or what Ukagaka is, or just that I recently got into it.
I made this post because I’ve been attempting to translate Shizuku and HiyaShabu’s scripts so that they can run in English.
So far I’ve only translated just a little dialouge and some of the Menu, but I am definitely making progress.
I don’t plan on reprogramming her or making her say all kinds of weird stupid stuff (some of the dialouge does that already <3).
I only plan on translating the scripts so that way her company may be enjoyed by even those way too lazy to learn moon rune.

I may put a percentage or something in the Current Status but truthfully I don’t have any idea how much there is to translate.
I just know, that there, is, a lot.
In terms of raw file size, the scripts seem to be about 1mb in size, completely .txt files.
The rest of her is probably her core, her source images and.. uh, features? for lack of a better term, but I mean like she can play music files and some other stuff.

Anyway, I’ll see how this goes. If it goes well, it’ll be my first real translation project!
And I’ll have actually done something!

Huuuurrrr. Duuuuurrrr. Puuuuurrrrrojects.

Because watching me post about me actually doing crap with this site is SO MUCH FUN, here’s another update!
I MADE IT SPECIALLY FOR YOU!

So yeah, I filled the Projects page with crap.
NEXT IS LINKS.
I THINKS.
IF I WORK OUT THE KINKS.
AND CUT THE HI-JINKS.
AND FIX THE KITCHEN SINKS.
I LIKE PINKS.
*WINKS*.

Why couldn’t I rhyme like this last post?

I decided not to rhyme this post, because I could only rhyme this line with toast.

And rhyming is annoying and lame.
I beat the game, but not with 100% like I wanted. Why?
Because there’s stuff you can’t do until you’ve cleared chapter 8!
I don’t like that.
The game would have been better if it added a bonus to your score for finishing chapters, like Riviera did.
And if it wasn’t so damn easy.
Or cheesily based on love. ( Unlike my stories, which aren’t cheesily based on love at all! [/sarcasm])
But, since I first played it, I think can appreciate it a bit more now.
Its VERY Japanese in design, in both graphics and story.
By graphics I mean, how it extends from the “paper” theme.
The first two games didn’t really do that.
Also I’ve become a total whore for this OST….
Damn… Originally I would have scored this game with a 5 or something, but now I have to raise that to 8.
Isn’t a game supposed to be more boring the second time around!?
Anyway, I finished with 39:24 on the clock.
I’m sure I could have finished earlier if I wasn’t going for the 100% but oh well.
That’s just over a day and a half! That’s really good, in my opinion!

I guess I’ll have to do some work now.. meh…

Done.

Thar. I filled in the About page. Happy now?
Wait, what about my projects?
I KNOW.
I HAVE, THE MOST EPIC IDEA.
I’LL LIKE, MAKE, A BRAND NEW PAGE!!!! FOR THE PROJECTS!!!
I CAN DO THAT, RIGHT WORDPRESS?!
Right, so yeah, I’ll do that,
whenever I get around to it.
In the meantime, I’m going to be playing Super Paper Mario again because all my progress was lost when my Wii brok’d a year or so ago.

It’s been this long and I’ve done nothing?

Well, no, that’s not true. I’ve done a lot! D:
Just not with this blog. <_<;
…Maybe it’s because it actually works now..?

Well whatever. I’m bored now that school’s out. So I figure I’ll get some stuff done.
Like working on this blog!

Update – 06/26/10
Or, maybe not.
Filling the About page seems like the only real work to be done here anyway!
Which I’ll do!
Sometime!

Moved…again?

Just can’t make up my mind, now can I?
Well, whatever.

Each time I’ve tried to make this blog, I’ve ended up with nothing but problems. I tried enduring them for the last try, but it still just wasn’t good enough.

Now, I’m here. Running the blog straight off of WordPress. We’re gonna just see how it goes this time.

I heard WordPress was actually deleting anime or fansub blogs, I dunno. But oh well, if this thing gets deleted, I’ll just try again later.

Like always.

So anyway, yeah.

[あさらぎ Works] returns, again.

I’ll update this thing with the past stuff too, so I’ll be able to get back to business soon. Not that there is any, anyway.

Not now at least…

Whatever, Out.
