Apparently someone hacked this account and made a spam post.
I take no responsibility for any harm you might have undergone due to any stupidity you might have had in not realizing it was a spam post and clicking the link it included.
That’s your own damn fault.
Really though, why the hell would someone hack this thing anyway?
Some people really are bored.
The Gensokyo Detective Squad! + new theme
So I finally managed to finish the first chapter of my new story, The Gensokyo Detective Squad.
Seems kinda sad my blog is hearing about this just now, when normally you’d think it’d be the first to know!
Oh well.
In this story, we follow Reisen as she leaves Eientei in hopes of finally becoming a full-fledged PC, just like Sakuya and Youmu!
She’ll meet some unlikely friends, and they’ll work together to solve not incidents, but mysteries.
Because that’s just what they do.
They’re the Gensokyo Detective Squad!
Read it on FF.net and MotK now!
Also Shizuku-chan’s translation is yet again stalled, but due to the fact I’m actually freaking working on the more important stuff for once!
Like, for example, KnT.
Yes, at long long long last I am finally doing work with KnT again.
Ah, it feels good after all these years.
Perhaps I’ll finally be able to get the rewrite started…
Ohhhhh that would be so nice.
Oh yeah and I changed the theme. Cool huh? Yeah, I even made a fancy banner and everything!
Disclaimer: No I didn’t draw little Mayuka-chan up there. She was created by 沢渡 仁司.
Second disclaimer: CLEANING PIXELS IS TIME-CONSUMING, TEDIOUS, AND BORING.
Restructuring, Restoring, Recovering, Reinstalling, Rebooting, Reformatting, Rebuilding, and a spoon.
So a while back, I got for my 18th birthday an external hard drive, something I’d been wanting for a looooooong time.
It was 1TB, on USB2.0, and was by HITACHI.
The enclosure was like an upside-down T, and was very awkward during travel.
Nevertheless, at the time, it had served me well. I was quite very thankful for it.
Perhaps right away I began using it as an archive, for my anime, music, manga, games, and other such things.
But this didn’t last, sadly…
My HITACHI was met with an unfortunate accident.
It fell from my desk, and came crashing to the floor, never to store another episode again.
I was anger distraught.
But life went.
Some time later (when I got that money last year) I decided one of the first things I’d buy would be a new external hard drive.
Looking through the Amazon Rain Forest the Amazonian Fallopian Tubes Amazon.com for the best space/price deal, I eventually came upon this.
At the time, it was the best I could get. I see now the price of it has dropped and there is a 3TB of the same line availible now… *sigh*.
*adds to wishlist*
Anyway, with my new Seagate Expansion drive, I immediately set out rebuilding my collections, and it wasn’t long before I’d improved upon them quite a large amount.
Aaaand then I began to get my first ever computer viruses.
The first was one that pretended to be a very generically titled (and very annoying) antivirus program. I’d been using the ext hdd as a backup device as well.
Unfortunately, the backup program I’d used did not back up my Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders, and I thus lost many logs and game data.
(This led to the Windcrest Recovery (something I may or may not discuss at a later date) and also my embarkment to remake my 1cc’s of SA and IN, remake my MoF pseudo-1cc (which I did, and later 1cc’d for real), and remake my lag-1cc of EoSD.)
After fixing this, I somehow derp’d and set the permissions for one of my computers to No Permission, for anything, in any way, for any user.
The computer was running Win7HP, so this was impossible to fix, so I had to wipe it,… again. Yeaaaaaaah.
Anyway, then later I got a real virus on my other laptop that caused it to bluescreen upon opening of explorer.exe, or whenever the hell it wanted.
Somehow I managed to survive this one by using Safemode+Command Prompt, executing Task Manager from Command Prompt, and using Task Manager’s sub-explorer in the New Task>Browse window, and within it .rar’ing up files and transferring them to the ext hdd.
It was arduous and long but was quite effective I must say. Much more so than relying on a backup program.
…And then sometime later, the worst happened.
I’ve always wanted all my stuff to be accessible across all my devices.
Big Business has been trying to pin this down for a while now, but in my case it’s been a real challenge.
This file isn’t compatible with the Xbox, the Wii doesn’t have the latest Flash, I don’t have enough disk space, I don’t have an archive to put it all on…
Stuff like that.
I did some research on how I could get my external harddrive to be readable by the XBox 360, and I found out the drive needs to be a FAT32 file system.
Well, the harddrive was an NTFS, so I made a FAT32 partition on it, stuck some music on it, and plugged it into the Xbox.
…It didn’t work.
So I decided “Ok, I’ll have the Xbox format it for use with the XBox then.”
This was a significantly a far stupider derp than the time with the permissions, as it was not until it was finished formatting that I had realized that “formatting” means THE WHOLE UNIT, NOT THE PARTITION I HAD MADE.
Thus… everything was lost.
All the anime, music, games, backups, and etc that I’d had saved on that hard drive was gone…
Aaaaaand here I am now.
I’ve been reconstructing the collections from scratch to the best of my ability since then.
As of this post, I have already vastly improved open the previous collections, and in quite a fraction of the time, I must say.
BakaBT probably hates me though…
Anyway, I actually didn’t make this post to chronograph my computer derpage, but rather to announce I’m going to be adding an inventory of the collections to my blog.
More details on this will be available when I’ve got the the page up.
Scarlet Training on MotK + Shizuku progress
I posted (a better) version of Scarlet Training on MotK.
Go read it now.
No NSFW content in this version.
And as far as I’m concerned, this will be the final version, and where the final version will be located.
However, the raw NSFW version may still be posted on FF.net. I’m undecided on that.

Also Shizuku-chan’s translation is finally resumed, and is progressing smoothly. Here’s proof.

Some bad timing on the sixth screenshot. The sentence does finish, I just fail that badly at screencapping.
I’ve only TL’d just a little bit of dialouge and comm, not much.
First and foremost I wanted to work on the menus.
Yes I know the menus aren’t complete yet, shut up. >_>;
If anyone wants to help with this or knows anything about Ukagaka and can offer any insight or assistance it would definitely be appreciated. Oh yeah. And I have over 2,000 points with Shizuku-chan now! <3
Oh yeah! And in other news, I finally 1cc’d PCB Easy! Wooo!!
An announcement?! NOWAYTHATSIMPOSSIBLE!:O
So someone said to me, “Hey, why do you have a blog and a group name if you don’t do anything? That’s completely pointless! You should either contribute something or just gtfo the internet, asshole.”
What a mean person huh?
Well, to tell the truth, nobody actually said that to me.
But I did think it!
So, this week I learned about a desktop app called Ukagaka. Now you’ve probably seen programs that put characters (interactive or otherwise) on your desktop before.
Ukagaka is easily the smartest and most in-depth engine for this purpose that I’ve seen.
However its very niche and undoubtably only the most Otaku or weeaboo users would use this.
But, that definitely doesn’t exclude me.
I reccomend reading up on it (you can find some if not most info at the wiki page) because I’m going to start using some terms you may not quite understand if you don’t and/or aren’t already familiar with Ukagaka.
My favorite Ghost has got to be Shizuku (シズクと冷しゃぶ). The relationship she has with HiyaShabu (the sword-like dude next to her) reminds me a lot of Nijihara Ink and Gir in Moetan. HiyaShabu is just so pervy, it’s almost enough that he makes up for when you aren’t. I’d love some backstory about these two, but I can’t really say I’m expecting to get any.
Anyway, no, I didn’t make this post just to blab about how cute Shizuku may be, or what Ukagaka is, or just that I recently got into it.
I made this post because I’ve been attempting to translate Shizuku and HiyaShabu’s scripts so that they can run in English.
So far I’ve only translated just a little dialouge and some of the Menu, but I am definitely making progress.
I don’t plan on reprogramming her or making her say all kinds of weird stupid stuff (some of the dialouge does that already <3).
I only plan on translating the scripts so that way her company may be enjoyed by even those way too lazy to learn moon rune.
I may put a percentage or something in the Current Status but truthfully I don’t have any idea how much there is to translate.
I just know, that there, is, a lot.
In terms of raw file size, the scripts seem to be about 1mb in size, completely .txt files.
The rest of her is probably her core, her source images and.. uh, features? for lack of a better term, but I mean like she can play music files and some other stuff.
Anyway, I’ll see how this goes. If it goes well, it’ll be my first real translation project!
And I’ll have actually done something!

DJ-CJ Returns!
Oh god, I haven’t made a post here in months.
Actually this makes the tenth post since I moved [ あさらぎ Works] here. Wow, I’m lazy.
Just what exactly do I consider post-worthy anyways!? I mean, check out the current status over there! —————————–>
Anyway, since what I wanted to say was too long for a tweet, and I don’t feel like editing the current status again right now…
I’m putting it here!
So!
DJ-CJ (that’s me) has finally made his, although not very epic, long awaited return to the airwaves of (SHOUTcast) radio!
Man, I haven’t been on the air in so long…
If you care to hear an old sea captain’s tale, keep reading, otherwise skip down to where I mention AnimeOST.
Back when unlableable was a total noob to the internet, which would be about two~three years ago, I got into an MMO you may or may not have heard of, named Mabinogi.
This paved the way to meeting the people I know today.
It started by me joining the Mabinogi fansite MabinogiPlayer (which seems to be down at the moment, so I don’t know if it’s still alive or not).
From there I entered the wonderful world of IRC, via MabinogiPlayer’s java client.
Through this I heard about mIRC, got it, and became a regular member of the channel.
Some time later, during the fateful summer of that year, a senior member of the site, Holy, decided he wanted to make his own Mabinogi fansite, but it be a radio.
The concept was to be that players could enjoy music and even up-to-the-minute news updates regarding stuff like the in-game-day-of-the-week’s effects, moongates (ways around the world that shifted destinations and were only open at night), all while playing the game and going about their questing and monster-slaying and grinding and prof’ing business.
And so Holy, and another member of MP known as Aira at his side, gave birth to MabiRadio.com.
Huh, when I put it that way, it makes it sound like it was their baby.
I wonder if either of you will read this…
Anyway, I was in MP’s channel at the time of Holy’s announcing and testing of MabiRadio.
In fact, I don’t want to brag, but the name was my idea. I think. I remember Holy suggested MabiCast but it was agreed that that was lame, and I either suggested or voted for and pushed MabiRadio. And it won.
Back to the story, shortly after the site was launched, DJ auditions were held.
I had to try out just like everyone else.
My audition ended with me being told that I had great enthusiasm, but my very limited music library at the time hurt me.
I couldn’t argue with that, since at the time I only had some stuff from Sonic and Halo and Age of Empires 3 – I know, it was sad.
But, I imagine expanding my music library to be a much easier fix than were I to have had poor enthusiasm.
About the enthusiasm, I was really really really excited to be on the air.
Like, REALLY excited.
Anyway, I was hired and went to work whenever there was an open spot.
But one morning I was in the channel (MabiRadio’s. Holy made his own on SinIRC (leading me to have #Guardian on SinIRC later), but he and I still hung around MP’s channel on DaIRC), and fellow DJ, DJ-Spike (a friend of Holy’s from overseas), had just gotten off and I asked if I could get on. So I did, and during my time on the air that morning, it occured to me that I could make it a show!
So I had my very own (self-proclaimed) show on MabiRadio!
The MabiRadio Morning Show with DJ-CJ aired weekdays from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM EST, with the intention of “blasting people awake”.
Ironic that I’d host a morning show since I wasn’t at all a morning person.
MabiRadio was quite a hit when it was announced.
We smashed our listener cap within the first week of broadcasting, and soon after hit our all time record high of 64 listeners.
Now, for other SHOUTcast radios, I guess that may not be very impressive, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
And, we, or at least I, looked upon it with great pride and sense of achievement.
It certainly made me ecstatic!!
Anyway, I’m going to spare you all the details of MabiRadio’s full history, as all my logs of it lie on my other computers, and are inaccessible at present.
So skipping to the end, MabiRadio was shut down officially by site founder Holy at the end of the summer.
And with it so ended the happiest and most life-changing summer of my life so far.
My experience with MabiRadio made me truly truly enjoy radio broadcasting.
I really think I would love to be a radio DJ someday.
When MabiRadio was shut down, I was very hurt, and couldn’t even bring myself to connect to SinIRC for a while, so I retreated to AnimeOST for while.
Like with MP, I eventually joined AnimeOST’s IRC channel and stopped hanging around the site. (This appears to be a pattern for me.)
I also began my seemingly enigmatic Project Guardian soon after the shut down as well.
But, this continues with AnimeOST, not Guardian.
AnimeOST already had a SHOUTcast radio, and (though I didn’t know it at the time, it was actually very rarely on) I actually joined AnimeOST with a childish dream of being a DJ on that radio.
Though I’m not clear on the details, I guess AnimeOST’s radio died as well, but senior member scsa20 recently formed his own SHOUTcast radio station, and I guess is lending/donating it to AnimeOST.
It is with this incarnation, that I have finally gotten my chance to return to air.
In fact, I’m broadcasting as I write this post!
I seem to be broadcasting mostly late at night now and through to morning.
So, it’s… “AnimeOST Late Nights with DJ-CJ”? Or something like that, I don’t know.
Since I don’t have full access to my music library (it’s really spread out across all my computers), I’m running on a simple 72-ish hour playlist, shuffled and with minimal talking from me, if at all.
But, if you’re in AnimeOST’s channel, you can request something from me or even send me music to put right on the air!
So, to close this up!
Feel free to tune in to AnimeOST Radio, where music rules your mind! Brought to you by scsa20.
I’ll add AnimeOST and scsa’s site to the Affiliate links, and you can tune in with the file labeled scsa20 Radio.pls in the Box widget over on the side.
Alright, I’m out for this post. It’s over 1100 words!
Keep an ear out for me!
Review – Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.
If you haven’t heard of Sly Cooper, then there’s a good chance you aren’t a furry.
But that’s not the point.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is the first game in the Sly Cooper franchise, and was developed by Sucker Punch Productions for the Playstation 2 in 2002.
The story revolves around Sly and his gang, Bentley the computer genius turtle and Murray the not-so-genius hippo driver, as they fight against a gang known as the Fiendish Five to recover the pages of the Cooper clan’s book, the Thievius Raccoonus, which tells of each member’s journeys and abilities.
Gameplay consists mainly of sneaking around sections of enemy lairs (at high speed if you’re playing the time trials) to collect the Treasure Keys at the end of each one.
Collect enough Treasure Keys and you can unlock the second half of the lair.
Collect all the Treasure Keys a lair has to offer and you can unlock the boss battle.
There is no gameplay outside of enemy lairs except for the prologue in Paris, and the hideout (used as a main menu).
Lairs are constructed in the following format.
The Hideout (a truck situated at the base of X lair) -> Lair entrance section containing a Treasure Key -> Lair main section -> Several side sections containing Treasure Keys -> Boss Battle unlocked with 7 Treasure Keys.
The main section of a lair is split in two and will require about 3 Treasure Keys to unlock the second half.
As Sly recovers more pages of the Thievius Raccoonus, he will gain a range of abilities. One major ability is gained with each boss defeated.
Pages can be recovered by collecting a defined number of Clues in each Entrance and Side lair section, then opening a large safe with a code given to you by Bentley.
Each lair section has various NPC enemies unique to each lair but do, for the most part, the same things. They can all, except for one, be defeated in one hit.
Sly really only has one attack, which is to swing his all-purpose cane.
He can attack in new ways as you recover more pages of the Thievious Raccoonus.
Battles are short anyway though, since the focus is on sneaking and not beating.
Each lair section has security systems ranging from laser grids to searchlights. Security systems are yellow by nature, but if you trip a laser or are caught by a searchlight, that set of security will disappear momentarily, and then reappear in red. Trip a red laser or get caught by a red searchlight, and your little raccoon tushie will find itself cooked very well done.
Also, tripping a yellow security system will blare the alarm and cause the timer (if in time trial mode) to tick away faster. A security system can be disabled by smashing the alarm.
The camera pretty much controls itself and really doesn’t have too many issues. You can also reset it by hitting R3.
The game has a life count system, but it doesn’t really play much of a role.
If you get hit by an enemy, are burned, or fall into a pit or water, you will lose a life. However, you can pick up a Lucky Charm to allow yourself to get back up if you’re taken down by something, and you can also pick up a second one to give yourself three chances per life.
You can earn a Lucky Charm by collecting 100 coins, which are placed around lair sections and can be dropped by enemies and breakable objects at random amounts. A short range money magnet can be obtained via recovering a page of the Thievius Raccoonus.
Losing a Charm/life via falling in water and later a pit can be eliminated though via recovering pages of the Thievius Raccoonus.
If you lose all your lives, you will be asked if you want to try again. This will put you at the beginning of the section or boss battle you game over’d in. Coins and Clues are carried over, and life count is reset to 5.
Lucky Charms do not carry over, but can be given to you randomly when you respawn after a death or retry after a game over. It is advised you be grateful when you’re given one.
Sections and boss battles should be completely memorized, They are not overly difficult or complex and are not overly long.
Side sections are split into mini-game type and normal-type missions.
Normal ones will play just like the entrance section, while minigames will obviously be minigames.
Minigames will only have a Treasure Key.
Normal sections, including the entrance, will have a Treasure Key, a page from the Thievius Raccoonus, and a time trial. You must collect the Key and the page to be able to attempt the time trial.
Time trials, known as Master Thief Sprints, can be very challenging. Even one mistake can completely screw up your time, and forget about Lucky Charms and recoveries – they’ll just waste precious seconds.
Completing a time trial will allow you listen to bonus commentary from the developers for that section, by pressing the L1 button when prompted upon entering that section.
This commentary feature is made possible by the game’s dynamic sound system, which allows the music to change based on what is happening in game.
While I couldn’t find anything about how the music was created or what went into it besides this from the Sly Cooper wiki page "The music was inspired by the artwork from the game; Ashif Hakik, composer of the game’s music, stated that "Stylistic influences came from a combination of instrument choices and musical character defined and inspired by the locales in the game, and similar composer works like Yoko Kanno and her work on Cowboy Bebop, Henry Mancini, and Carl Stalling." He continued to note that "the interactive music engine we used made us consider the gameplay for each specific level a sort of starting point that would influence the way the music would be written.", I personally think that the music is very reminiscent of good old fashioned chip tunes, and that this is apparent in many parts of the game’s OST.
The dynamic sound system also allows for a different track to play over the normal section BGM when an enemy is encountered or something else is happening.
This system is very apparent when fighting the third boss, Mz. Ruby.
However, despite this, the music is definitely NOT a selling point of this game. While the music is well done and has the nice chip tunes feel, it is quite repetitive and all in all rather uninteresting.
Of course this is only my personal opinion.
What is the selling point of this game is the design and gameplay.
The art borders on cartoony, but not too cartoony so that it’s unrealistic (anthropomorphs aside).
Sly is cunning, suave, debonair, fast, sneaky, and he’s one devious, thievious raccoonus.
And the gameplay controls are really simple to learn and use, and the game itself is really simple to play, but is still very fun for even a veteran platform gamer like myself.
Boss battles are pretty lame to be honest, but for what the game is, I wasn’t expecting much from them in the first place.
All in all, I give Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus
4 legendary book pages, out of 5; and 8 all-purpose canes, out of 10.
Recommended for platformer fans, furries, and criminals in need of a role model.

New gear! … And man am I bored!
Awesomeness.
I just got a new 2tb external harddrive in the mail.
I got this freaking awesome deal on it – $130 on Amazon, with a warranty!
You know, I really hate spending money…
BUT I LIKE OWNING STUFF MORE.
Anyway, not only that, but I also got a PSP 3000!
Now I’m probably not gonna be getting a PS3, unless Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a PS3 exclusive – WHICH WOULD BE A VERY STUPID MOVE, SQUARE – , because in my opinion most PS3 (and most PSP games for that matter) suck pretty damn bad.
Wait so why did I buy a PSP then?
Oh that’s easy.
I bought it for the other crap it can do. – Which I found out, it can’t do any of without a memory stick!
So one order of a memory stick later and I’m just ducky.
I still managed to save money off the retail but still.
Although in terms of which games I did buy for it, I bought Daxter and Tokobot.
I know they probably wouldn’t be your first choices, but I liked the Jak & Daxter series, or rather I did until I 100%’d the first game. I really didn’t like how they changed it so suddenly Dark Eco, WHICH KILLS YOU IN THE FIRST GAME, is suddenly GOOD FOR YOU.
So yeah, I just bought Daxter for the hell of it.
Tokobot though, I saw gameplay clips of it this one time on an old G4TV show, Cinematech/Cinematech: Nocturnal Emmisions.
It was awesome – like this Pikmin kind of game but it looked even cooler.
I can’t wait to play it.
I’ll totally post a review!
The games and memory stick don’t come for about two days.
I guess in the meantime, I’ll just keep watching this stuff download and archive to the ext hdd.
You know you’re bored when downloading becomes EXCITING.
I guess they weren’t kidding when they told me money can’t buy happiness.
…………….Nah.
Money can get you anything. All it is is just a matter of how much money you got.
At least that’s how it is with me anyway!
Oh yeah… I bought the first Sly Cooper because I was bored.
That was about a week or so ago.
I finished the last world and finished 100%’ing it after I got back from up north at the start of this week.
So, since I 100%’d it – I’m bored, again.
Meh, maybe tommorow to pass the time I can do up a review of Sly Cooper.
And with that, I’m going to bed.
PEACE!
…I think I’ve been watching too much Fresh Prince of Bel Air – It took a lot of editing to keep me from writing this in a dialect.
Huuuurrrr. Duuuuurrrr. Puuuuurrrrrojects.
Because watching me post about me actually doing crap with this site is SO MUCH FUN, here’s another update!
I MADE IT SPECIALLY FOR YOU!
So yeah, I filled the Projects page with crap.
NEXT IS LINKS.
I THINKS.
IF I WORK OUT THE KINKS.
AND CUT THE HI-JINKS.
AND FIX THE KITCHEN SINKS.
I LIKE PINKS.
*WINKS*.
Why couldn’t I rhyme like this last post?
